Some of the staff were not overly friendly, but some were. There were ants in our room. When we went for breakfast (it was 15 minutes before it was over) the items that had already been eaten/used by others were not replenished, even when other customers asked for an additional piece of cheese they were handed 1 out of the fridge. A sign at the end of the entrance to the hotel said "Ask about our attraction passes" when we asked we were told "We don't have any". On the second night of our stay the only thing changed/cleaned were a couple of towels, nothing else in the room was touched--including the garbage cans and the bed.
Comfortable Bed, Clean Room...for one night, what else does one require?
Quit location and close to all amenities
Supose to be no smoking and was a smell of marijuana in the halls
very quiet, no noise in hallways or outside. Staff friendly, bathtub comfy.
Bed way to hard like sleeping on a board. Temp hard to control really hot one sec then cold even on low settings. Eggs very watery at breakfast but rest was ok.
How friendly the staff is. How clean facility is. How quiet room was.just everything.
Everything was amazing!!!!
We were kept awake all night by those in the room beside us because they were up all night drinking and partying. Complained to the front desk who requested that they quiet down but no change in their behaviour. Staff should've called the police and had them removed. No compensation offered for the fact that we didnt sleep...drove back to Ontario on about 1.5 hours sleep gained after our neighbours passed out at around 5 am.
It's an older building with narrow stairwells and halls, and with carpeting everywhere, but the rooms (beds, bathrooms) have been updated. The room was fine. Nothing spectacular but perfectly OK and clean. Bed was comfortable; pillows were good. Nice sized in-room fridge and the microwave was a welcome touch. Bathroom was very small but both the tub and sink area were new. Breakfast positives: the choices of fruit, muffins, toast and the waffle maker. Staff were friendly and helpful at front desk and in breakfast room. The wifi worked great.
Could not get the temperature of the room to our liking. Too warm. On the first night the air conditioning unit worked for a bit and then shut off and wouldn't work again (likely because of the dropping temperature outside), but the room was uncomfortably warm. On the second night the unit wouldn't work at all, so we opened the window (no screen, but at least it opened). Room temp was more comfortable, but the open window let in lots of noise from the highway. Breakfast choices were adequate, but the hot eggs and sausages were really, really awful.
The location and the price
Location is great, east access to bridge to Halifax (toll), but super convenient and easy to find
Beds were really hard. If you have any type of hip or back issue, I do not recommend staying here.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pretty good too.
Everything was good
The bed was very uncomfortable
Our room had the cleanest bathroom, that we have seen in a long time.
location, close to highway, good breakfast, very relaxed and quiet, high quality beds and cleanliness.
We stayed only 1 night but we appreciated the location, easy access to points of interest, the quietness of the place. Friendly staff. We recommend it.
We arrived for the hot breakfast at 930 and there was hardly anything left, nothing in the cooler,ie yogurt, boiled eggs, etc. No hot eggs, sausages, or whatever else was served at this area. Pancakes, toast, and cold cereal. No much for a hot breakfast which was advertised.
